About Moyena Foundation
Every child in South Africa deserves access to quality learning materials — but for too many families, cost is the barrier that stands between a child and the foundation they need.
Moyena Foundation exists to remove that barrier.
Registered as a Non-Profit Company in South Africa (Reg: 2026/168634/08), Moyena Foundation operates as a dedicated pass-through distribution engine. We collect donations from corporate partners, community sponsors, and individual supporters, and we use 100% of those funds to purchase Learner Helper Series™ workbooks, which are then distributed directly to schools and learners in underserved communities across South Africa for free.
No administration fees. No overhead deductions. Every rand donated becomes a workbook in a child's hands.
How it works
Donors contribute to Moyena Foundation. The Foundation purchases workbooks from Moyena Learning at the full published price — creating a transparent, auditable flow from donation to delivery. Schools and ECD centres in qualifying communities receive workbooks at no cost. Donors receive detailed impact reporting: how many learners were reached, in which schools, in which communities.
It is a simple model, built on a simple belief: that accountability and generosity are not in conflict — they make each other stronger.
Why it matters
South Africa has approximately 1.8 million children enrolled in Grade R and Grade 1. The majority of them are learning in under-resourced environments, with caregivers who want to support their children at home but lack the tools to do so.
Moyena Foundation exists to change that — one workbook, one child, one community at a time.
